Bachelor of Business in Accountancy

The Bachelor of Business in Accountancy program at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology (PNGUoT) provides students with a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial management, auditing, and taxation. Designed to meet industry and professional standards, the program equips graduates with practical skills, analytical abilities, and ethical understanding required for successful careers in accounting and related fields. This Bachelor of Business in Accountancy course (BBAC) helps students to develop an understanding of the technical and social aspects of accounting.

    A SBS Graduate will have an in-depth knowledge in the field of Business Studies and will demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills, uphold the value of independence, innovation and entrepreneurship, display critical and professional judgment and a global and ethical understanding.

    Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

    CLO1
    • Demonstrate an understanding and ability to apply the various business law and management theories, frameworks, and models within the foundational and core disciplines of business – Management, Economics, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Marketing.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the national, regional and global laws as they apply to business.

    CLO2
    • Demonstrate ability to integrate the knowledge and skills derived from the different functional areas of
    business law and management to solve real-world business problems.
    • Understand the impact of global issues, diverse world cultures and how they affect the adaptation of
    business practices to evolving global environment.
    • An ability to understand and apply statistical and methodical problem-solving techniques in context of
    business operations.
