Beyond Taraka Campus

While Taraka Campus in Lae serves as the main hub of the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, PNGUoT also operates two additional campuses — Bulolo and Bumbu, extending its academic and research impact across Morobe Province.

Located in the highlands of Morobe Province, Bulolo Campus serves as the field training and research center for PNGUoT’s School of Forestry. It offers students an immersive learning experience in forest resource management, reforestation, and environmental sustainability.
Bumbu Campus, located on the outskirts of Lae, supports the School of Forestry with research, technical training, and practical fieldwork facilities. It provides students with opportunities for hands-on learning and community-based projects in forest and environmental management.

Campus life at PNGUoT is more than just study — it’s about growing, connecting, and discovering purpose. From classrooms and labs to dorms, clubs, and cultural events, every part of campus life encourages students to learn, lead, and live with integrity. Whether at Taraka, Bulolo, or Bumbu, our community thrives on diversity, innovation, and the shared pursuit of knowledge that drives Papua New Guinea and the Pacific forward.
